Characters Reflection

If I had to explain "make a block" to someone else, I would describe it as a way to rim down your script for the sprites. It condenses one certain action into one block, which makes reading, editing, and duplicating parts of the script easier. You might use "make a block" to trim down a script, or if you have a game, to easily reproduce a command you want it to do.

10 Block Challenge Reflection

This activity helped me learn Scratch because it made me use some blocks I may never have thought to use. It mad me think outside the box with the costumes, too. The 10 block challenge restrained my ideas because i wanted to point the cat in different directions, but I wasn't allowed to do that. So, I had to alter my script to fit the parameters.

Scratch Tips Reflection

It was very surprising to me how easy it was to make the Scratch character do whatever you wanted him to do. I liked to be lead through the activity at first, because it helped me learn new things about it. I like having more structure in the beginning to get a feel for it. I like having more freedom later on because then I can get creative when I know more about the program. I feel most creative at the end because I know the most about the program and I am able to do many more things.
